Prof. Fernando S. Tinagan, a UPV-PE Faculty of the College of Arts and Sciences, wins Three (3) Gold Medals and One (1) Bronze Medal, respectively, in the different Standard "Anyo" Events and Age Categories. The awards are the following: 1. Gold medal in "Solo Baston Standard "Anyo" in (31 years old and above – male category) 2. Gold medal in Duo Solo Baston Standard "Anyo" (18 and above mixed). 3. Gold Medal in Synchronized Solo Baston Standard "Anyo" (18 and above mixed), 4. Bronze medal in Duo Solo Baston Standard "Anyo" (18 and above mixed).
Mr. Mar S. Sencil, a staff member of the University Library at UPV, won the Bronze medal in Solo Baston Standard Anyo (31 years old and above – male category).
Ms. Fraulyn Mare Moralidad won two (2) Gold medals and Two (2) Bronze medals. 1. Gold medal in Duo Solo Baston Standard "Anyo" with Prof. Tinagan (18 and above mixed) 2. Gold Medal in Synchronized Solo Baston Standard "Anyo" with Ms. Amiguel Pamplona (18 and above mixed), 3. Bronze medal in Duo Solo Baston Standard "Anyo" with Ms. Amiguel Pamplona, and 4. Bronze Medal Solo Baston Standard Anyo.
Ms. Amiguel Pamplona won One (1) Gold medal and Two (2) Bronze medals. 1. Gold medal in Synchronized Solo Baston Standard "Anyo" with Ms. Fraulyn Mare Moralidad, 2. Bronze medal in Solo Baston Standard "Anyo" (18 and above female category) 3. Bronze medal in Duo Solo Baston Standard "Anyo" (18 and above female category).
The UPV-MATTI, Modern Arnis Tapi-Tapi, Miag-ao, Iloilo Team ranked 3rd place out of 15 participating Clubs in the Philippines.
The Competition is a welcome break from the stress of online learning brought about by the pandemic. It creates an avenue for reducing stress in its participants' lives by offering them opportunities for growth and short-term goals.
