The UP High School in Iloilo (UPHSI) will be receiving funding under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) this fiscal year to undertake renovations and improvements through the budget of Sen. Sonny Angara and the efforts of Ret. Justice Francis Jardeleza, a UPHSI alumnus.
UPHSI will receive a total of 10,000,000 PhP to renovate the high school building. The renovations will include replacement of existing floor finishes, ceiling, doors, windows, furnitures, fixtures and partitions, lighting fixtures, electrical system, fire and alarm system, and repainting. Moreover, a portion of the appropriated budget will be used to landscape the space fronting the UPHSI building.
Additionally, the renovation will cover the renovation of the faculty room, which will address the lack of a conference room, spacious pantry, individual work areas, and a common room.
This initiative is part of UPHSI’s commitment to ensure that facilities meet international standards.
