On day two of his visit to Iloilo, UP President Danilo Concepcion was at the UP Visayas Miagao campus on March 17, 2022, for a site visit of UPV’s ongoing and newly completed infrastructure projects in UPV Miagao Campus that were constructed during his term.
The day before, he was at the UPV Iloilo City campus for the inauguration of the University Avenue and the unveiling of the Oblation Plaza.
The ongoing projects in Miagao are the Regional Research Center, the new main library, and the School of Technology. Also included are four recently completed classrooms under the College of Management.
During President Concepcion’s visit, UPV presented the following proposed projects for the Miagao campus, which included:
1. Building for College of Management - Phase 1
2. Building for College of Arts and Sciences- Phase 1
3. Rehabilitation of Existing UPV Road Networks and Replacement of Rotten Electric Poles
4. International Dormitory and a
5. Proposal for a Sewage Treatment Plant Facility.
Except for item number 3, the President approved all the proposals for locational clearance only. He signed the proposals before leaving the Miagao campus.
