Prof. Reynold D. Tan has been appointed as the new Director of UP Visayas Technology Transfer and Business Development Office effective September 6, 2021.
Prof. Tan is an Associate Professor of the Department of Accounting, College of Management, UP Visayas where he teaches Marketing Management, Supply Chain Management, Marketing Research,International Marketing, and Economic Analysis at the high school, undergraduate, and graduate levels.
Tan finished his undergraduate degree in Bachelor of Science in Fisheries and earned his post-graduate degree in Master of Management-Business Management at UP Visayas. He proceeded to University of Arkansas for his MS Agricultural Economics. He specialized in different areas during his study abroad including Agricultural Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Transportation/ Business Logistics Management and Vertical Integration. As a recipient of the UP Doctoral Fellowship Program and the SEARCA PhD Research Scholarship, he took his PhD in Agricultural Economics-Marketing and Prices at UP Los Baños, majoring in Agricultural Marketing and Prices cognate in Development Management and Governance.
His professional career has covered work in marketing, business development, supply chains, and strategic plans. He is also a well-published researcher with publications recognized in both local and international conferences.
Dr. Tan will serve a three-year term under the administration of Chancellor Clement C. Camposano.
