To start the semester off, the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and the Teaching and Learning Resource Center conducted an orientation and training for faculty members and lecturers, and students on the use of the Learning Management System on February 26, 2020
One hundred seventeen (117) faculty members and lecturers were trained to use the LMS in the morning, followed by an afternoon session attended by 220 undergraduates, graduates, and UPHSI students.
OVCAA Dr. Philip Ian P. Padilla, in his opening remarks, emphasized the vision the UPV Administration has for the LMS. He said, "...the LMS should be strengthened so that it can be used even with or without COVID. It can be used extensively so that there is a combination of blended learning once we go into the first sem next school year".
The training covered basic and new features and functions of the LMS II, the official academic portal of UPV for the second semester of remote learning.
Prof. Nilo Araneta and Mr. Karch Malaga of the UPV LMS Team were the activity's resource persons.
They discussed the basics of LMS II, such as organizing modules, sectioning classes, and using the grade book.
Both morning and afternoon sessions are available online on the official Facebook page of the TLRC: UPV TLRC Teletab: Online Helpdesk Assistant.
