The members of the UPV Safety and Health Committee headed by its chairperson Prof. John Lorenz Belanio attended the training-workshop on “Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control” held on October 19, 2023 via Zoom. In this hybrid training, the committee members were gathered in the New Administration Building Conference Room for the workshop, while the resource person was in a remote location.
Through this training-workshop, the participants were trained to identify workplace hazards, assess the risks within the premises of the University, and proposed control for prevention of accidents resulting in injuries, death, and damage to properties. They were also tasked to accomplish an example of the Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Control (HIRAC) form for the resource person’s comments and suggestions.
