Representatives from 12 concessionaires and food vendors in the university were invited to participate in a presentation of issues concerning cross-contamination, causes of food-borne illnesses, proper hygiene and proper attire - and its relation to food handling.
This seminar on Basic Food Safety practices in Food Establishments and Ambulant vendors held on May 6, 2019, at the Miagao campus. It was organized by the University Food Services Committee headed by Dr. S. R. Luzette Teruel.
The attendance to this activity of the food vendors and handlers is expected to improve their knowledge and skills in preparing safe and wholesome food for the UPV constituents.
