UP Visayas Chancellor Clement C. Camposano reaffirmed UPVs commitment to building the UP Extension campus by a site visit in Brgy. Nauring in Pandan, Antique on September 30, 2021.
Together with a team of UPV Engineers led by Campus Development and Maintenance Office Chief, Engr. Rolando Jamero, Camposano also met with Pandan Mayor Plaridel Sanchez VI and Vice Mayor Raymund Gumboc to officially signal the start of the building construction. Jamero relayed that mobilization on the site will commence this October 2021. The Pandan Local Government Unit has assured its full support of the project.
On a welcome note, the donors informed the chancellor of an additional 300 sq. meter donation to the original 500 sq.m. donated last year. Ms. Yolanda Batara and Ms. Gigi Bautista, whose family donated the property where the building will be erected, formally revealed this to the UPV team during the site inspection.
Also present during the event were PDA for Antique Anna Razel L. Ramirez and UPV alumni from Antique Sashah Dioso, Flord Nicson Calawag, and Michelle Villavert. Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda initiated the UP Antique Extension Campus.
