A 4th Year BS Computer Science student team emerged victorious in the recently concluded PSC 2021 Regional Pitching Competition - Students Category - Region 6 held on February 22, 2022. This competition was conducted by the Department of Information and Communications Technology Region 6.
Teamprano, which is composed of Patricia Marie Garcia, Renzel Buatag, Ronn Ian Visto, and their Project Mentor, Prof. Almie Carajay, secures the top spot with their App called Travellert. Travellert is a location-based alarm system application that aims to assist commuters when traveling by sending a notification whenever they are approaching their destination. They were also awarded as the Best in Video Pitch.
Another team (JACK.co) of 4th Year BS Computer Science students were given the Best Pitch Presentation award with their app called Tinda On The Go(TOTGO). Tinda on the go is an online web application where you can buy, sell, or deliver products. Unlike other food delivery services, it caters to perishable goods and the local market to boost the local economy. The team is composed of Candyl John Faeldonea, Kristen Ann Joy Luciano, Jayvee Castañeda, and their Project Mentor, Prof. Almie Carajay.
Teamprano and Jack.co serve as an inspiration for aspiring young entrepreneurs with creative ideas that can potentially solve social problems.
