The Office of the University Registrar of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) conducted a two-day Operations Review and Planning Workshop from 27-28 April 2024 at the Jardeleza Sea Garden Resort, Inc. at Leganes, Iloilo. The resource persons and workshop facilitators were Asst Prof. John Lorenz Belanio, Asst. Prof. Frediezel De Leon, and Ms. Mary Ann Sedero, faculty members of the UPV College Management.
On the first day of the workshop, University Registrar Prof. Nilo Araneta presented the current state of OUR operations. The participants identified bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and potential improvements thereafter. Planning the improvement of the OUR organizational structure, individual functions, communication flow, and services, among others, were discussed on the second day of the workshop.
For each workshop activity, outputs on validation, sharing of experiences, feedbacks, and suggestions were presented by each participant. Overall, there were 15 participants headed by Prof. Araneta and 13 OUR staff.
Ms. Charito Gavadan from the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, who is a former OUR staff, was invited to join the said workshop. Ms. Ana Liza A. Subade served as the master of ceremony.
