A step towards industry-academe collaboration and partnership for environmental research and innovation was made between the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) School of Technology (SOTECH) and SEPAR Environmental Corporation through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) signing ceremony last August 15, 2023 at the New SOTECH Building, UPV, Miagao, Iloilo.

The UP Visayas College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS) students, Ms. Jem Celyne Ferrer, Ms. Nicole Galve, and Ms. Pearl Aljean Santacera completed the International Tropical Summer Course (ITroSCo) Camp 2023 last August 1-12, 2023 at Semarang City, Central Java, Indonesia.

First-year and returning students of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) were officially welcomed back to the campus as they embark on a new academic journey for School Year 2023-2024.

UP Visayas received Rare Philippines and Rare Global Operations at the Center for West Visayan Studies (CWVS), UPV Iloilo City Campus on August 16, 2023.

The University of the Philippines Visayas Office of Student Affairs (UPV-OSA) gave an orientation to the incoming students and transferees of the University, together with some of their parents and guardians on Aug. 15 at the UPV Covered Court, Miagao campus. 

The Community Outreach Program – Barangay Integrated Development Approach for Nutrition Improvement (COP-BIDANI) of the College of Arts and Sciences conducted a one-day, in-person training for the Barangay Nutrition Scholars of the municipality of Igbaras on July 31, 2023, at the Auditorium of UPV’s Iloilo City campus.
