Assistant Professor Bobby Rodriguez presented his paper during the 15th Asian Conference on Media, Communication and Film (MediAsia2024) held at Kyoto Research Park last October 15-19, 2024. Prof. Rodriguez is a film practitioner and faculty member of the Division of Humanities under the College of Arts and Sciences and a PhD student of the Development Communication Graduate program of UP Los Baños College of Development Communication.

A third year undergraduate BA History student of the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV), Antonio Sebastian B. Jover, was selected to participate in a writing workshop as part of the Japanese Studies Research Development Competition in the Philippines. The workshop was held on October 10-12, 2024, at the Asian Center in UP Diliman.

The University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) Gender and Development Program (GDP) organized a Training-Workshop on Formulating the Gender and Development Agenda last September 23 and 30, 2024 at the District 21 Hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo City. The activity was attended by ninety one members of the GAD Focal Point System representing the different colleges and units in the university.
