Interested parties/individuals are invited to submit nominations for the next Dean of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences. The following are based on the Policies and Guidelines on the Selection of Deans approved by the UP Board of Regents at its 1198th meeting held on 28 July 2005.
Who may be nominated?
The nominee must possess the following minimum qualifications:
- Commitment to academic freedom and the values and ideals of the University
- Distinction or outstanding academic credentials in the nominee’s chosen field of expertise which should be along the lines of the college’s disciplines or fields
- Filipino citizen
- Leadership qualities and administrative or managerial capability
- Must be willing to serve
- Must consider resource generation an important function of the position
The nominee need not be a faculty member at the time of her/his nomination, but must have a faculty appointment should she/he be appointed.
Who may nominate?
- Personnel of the unit
- Students and alumni
- Others from outside the unit
- An interested candidate

a) Duly signed copy of the nomination form containing the justification for the nomination (see attached form)
b) 3-page summary of the nominee’s curriculum vitae
c) Plans and programs for the College (max. 5 pages)
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF NOMINATIONS is on 13 November 2020 (Friday).
