SPSO holds operations review

The Supply and Property Services Office (SPSO) held its operations review at the University of the Philippines Visayas (UPV) New Administration Building, Miagao campus, on March 20.

The said activity aims to help core units of UPV streamline their processes and improve the delivery of services to the University’s stakeholders, according to the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Administration (OVCA).

Prof. Emeliza Lozada, SPSO Chief, presented the program of activities and identified areas of concern. Recommendations and ways forward were also discussed in the latter portion of the activity.

Attendees, particularly those from various offices and units under the OVCA, also suggested mechanisms to help address pressing challenges that entail shared responsibility and accountability.

Those who attended include Dr. Farisal Ungkakay-Bagsit, Vice Chancellor for Administration; Asst. Prof. Cherry Añasco, Asst. to the VCA; Dr. Victor Marco Emmanuel Feriols, Institute of Aquaculture/Regional Research Center Director; Ms. Eleanor Ravena, Accounting Office Chief; Ms. Arlene Avanceña, Budget Office Chief; Ms. Maureen Ongo, Cash Office Chief; Engr. Mario Morano, Campus Development and Maintenance Office Chief, and a representative from the Special Service Force.

The SPSO is the third unit under the OVCA that has undergone an operations review in 2024. The CDMO and the SSF held their respective operations review earlier this year.
