Administrators, faculty, and staff of higher education institutions (HEIs) from different parts of Panay and Guimaras attended the Quality Assurance Forum organized by the UP Visayas Office of the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs on 27 September 2023 held at the Little Theater, Iloilo City Campus.

The participating HEIs included Colegio Del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University, St. Paul University, St. Anthony’s College, Capiz State University, Aklan State University, University of Antique, West Visayas State University, Northern Iloilo State University, Guimaras State University, Iloilo Science and Technology University, Western Institute of Technology, Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology, and University of the Philippines Visayas.

Themed “Broadening Perspectives on QA in HEIs,” the forum was organized as part of the 76th Year of UP Presence in Iloilo celebration, which opened on 25 September. Dr. Maria Cynthia Rose Bautista, former UP Vice President for Academic Affairs and former CHED Commissioner from 2012-2016, was the first guest speaker. Her topic was on the Philippine Qualifications Framework and QA in Higher Education Institutions.
