With the University of the Philippines Visayas’ (UPV) continuous pursuit for excellence, four degree programs from the institution underwent external quality assurance (EQA) assessment last 31 July-2 August 2024.

The Division of Humanities’ Bachelor of Arts in Communication and Media Studies (BA CMS) and Bachelor of Arts in Literature and the Division of Physical Sciences and Mathematics’ Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics and Bachelor of Science in Statistics completed the Type B EQA which is conducted by external reviewers/assessors/accreditors from another constituent university.

The team of assessors was composed of Dr. Serlie Jamias (UP Los Banos) and Dr. Edmund Centeno (UP Los Banos) for BA CMS, Dr. Jean Loyola (UP Los Banos) and Dr. Rosella Torrecampo (UP Diliman) for BA in Literature, Dr. Nina Cadiz (UP Los Banos) and Dr. Santos Jose Dacanay III (UP Baguio) for BS in Applied Mathematics and Dr. Myra Borines (UP Los Banos) and Dr. Annabelle Novero (UP Mindanao) for BS in Statistics. All degree programs are under the College of Arts and Sciences.

The feedback from the assessors will guide the faculty members and the UPV administration in ensuring the quality and relevance of the degree programs.
