Course Overview

The UPV BSBA (Marketing) Program is designed to equip students with marketing, branding, advertising, public relations, marketing communications, market research, and strategic management skills and with knowledge in specialized courses such as sales management, supply chain management, social entrepreneurship, and data analytics, thus solidifying how marketing drives organizational success. The Program emphasizes experiential learning and real-world opportunities to prepare students for success in any field.

The UPV University Council approved the existing Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA)- Marketing Curriculum on February 2, 1985. To strengthen the Program, it is continuously updated to make the curriculum more responsive to industry trends and geared towards developing globally competitive marketing graduates who will be at the forefront of business and social developments in the region, the nation, and the world.

The BSBA (Marketing) Program boasts eight full-time faculty members with advanced degrees in business and related fields and are active in marketing research and public service—all highly qualified to teach various business- and marketing-related courses. This Team of highly qualified mentors ensures that the BSBA (Marketing) program produces marketing graduates equipped with adequate and appropriate skill sets, competencies, attitudes, and mindsets that will enable them to contribute to the sustainable development and growth of Philippine industries.

ADMISSION POLICY

The BS in Business Administration (Marketing) program adopts a quota system in admitting prospective students to the course.

Students from other universities and colleges may be admitted, provided that:

  1. They have completed at least 33 units of collegiate academic course (excluding religion, P.E., NSTP/CWTS, and vocational courses);
  2. They have obtained a general weighted average of 1.75 or better for all collegiate academic units they have earned outside of the University;
  3. They can complete in the University no less than 50% of the units required for their program; and
  4. The quota set by the Dean of the college or school concerned for the course to which they seek admission, has not yet been filled up.
