Undergraduate and graduate students of the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences (CFOS), UP Visayas will have more microscopes for their laboratory experiments.
CFOS through dean Encarnacion Emilia S. Yap received 10 new units of monocular microscopes donated by the UP Aquaculture Society, Inc. (UP Aquasoc). The Turnover Ceremony took place at the AV Hall, Pidlaoan Building, CFOS, UPV Miagao campus on February 21, 2019.
The members and officers of the UP Aquasoc led by its current president Ms. Sheryl S. Avanceña personally presented the donation.
Yap thanked the organization for its generosity. The microscopes will be distributed to the four institutes of the College.
Organized in 1987, UP Aquaculture Society, Inc. is a non-stock, non-profit professional organization composed of alumni from the University of the Philippines.
