UPV turns over laptops and cameras to DepEd - Antique for the Cultural Mapping Project

UP Visayas turned over a total of 22 Acer laptops and 22 Canon OS3000D DSLR cameras to DepEd-Antique. The laptops were delivered on July 1, 2021, followed by the delivery of the cameras on July 14, 2021. 

The teacher-mappers will utilize the equipment for fieldwork activities and writing sessions. The DepEd Supply Office will facilitate the distribution of the equipment to each of the schools' districts in the province of Antique.

Present during the turn-over were DepEd Officials: Dr. Felisa Beriong (CESO VI, Asst. Schools Division Superintendent), Corazon C. Tingson (Asst. Schools Division Superintendent), Dr. Gaudencio C. Riego (Chief - Curriculum Implementation Division), Evelyn C. Remo (Chief - School Governance and Operations Division), Dr. Eleanore M. Dagala (EPS - Araling Panlipunan), Dr. Anita S. Gubalane (EPS - Science), and Miracle Faith Senario (Division Supply Officer). UP Visayas representatives were: Anna Razel Ramirez, Overall Project Coordinator; Michelle Villavert and Dimple Rios, Research Assistants; and Ramon Ramirez, field photo Documentor.

The Cultural Mapping Project is implemented by UP Visayas, in coordination with the Office of Deputy Speaker Loren Legarda, Department of Education Antique, National Commission for Culture and the Arts, and the Provincial Government of Antique. CMA is implemented at UPV by the Information and Publications Office and the Center for West Visayan Studies in coordination with the Office of the Chancellor and the Office of the Vice-Chancellor for Research and Extension.
