The UPV Academic Assessment and Development Committee (AADC) conducted a series of orientations on quality assurance and program assessment for faculty members. These were held via Zoom on May 7 for UPV Tacloban College; May 12 for the Division of Professional Education and UP High School Iloilo; May 21 for the College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences; May 27 for the College of Arts and Sciences; and May 28 for the School of Technology and College of Management.

The activity aimed to orient faculty members on the ASEAN University Network-Quality Assurance (AUN-QA) framework and instill the importance of quality assurance in developing, implementing, assessing, and enhancing degree programs in the university.

Dr. Philip Ian Padilla, Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, discussed the quality assurance initiatives of the UP System and UPV, while members of the UPV AADC talked about the eight criteria of the AUN-QA framework.

Chaired by Prof. Steve Janagap, the UPV AADC is responsible for the overall quality standards of the University Academic Programs and its support services.
