UPVTC produces topnotcher, posts 84% passing rate in 2018 psychometrician board exam
The University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College (UPVTC) produced one topnotcher and garnered an 84% passing rate in the Psychometrician Licensure Examination administered by the Board of Psychology of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in various parts of the country last October 29-30, 2018.
Mary Grace A. Nonay earned an 80.40% rating and successfully made it to the 10th highest place among the examinees. Nonay is a graduate of BA (Social Sciences) Psychology Class 2013 and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Psychology at UP Diliman.
The other UPVTC graduates who are now licensed psychometricians are Ruby Anne G. Villafranca (Class 2010), Maria Carmina C. De Loyola (Class 2013), Normae C. Ecija (Class 2014), and Shyedelle Johanze G. Uy (Class 2017).
Successful passers who recently graduated as part of UPVTC’s Class 2018 are Nicole Erika L. Arteche, Frances C. Bernadas, Ricah Amor G. Cabalhin, Jessusa Mae A. Calapre, Norvelyn F. Capaycapay, Sean Xedric B. Castello, Bryan Dexter L. Cortezo, and Ellen Luz L. De La Peña.
Completing the list of passers from Class 2018 are Julia Marie B. Eder, Kate M. Fernandez, Frances Dianne T. Melgar, Caster Ganni M. Misagal, Mae Jane B. Pontica, Jo Elaine Nova M. Seballos, Lecia Sole S. Segovia, and May Angelique L. Tan.
The examinees were tested on four subjects namely, Theories of Personality, Abnormal Psychology, Industrial Psychology, and Psychological Assessment. The PRC announced that 4,035 out of 8,453 (48%) passed the Psychometrician Licensure Examination this year.
This is UPVTC’s third batch of passers for the psychometrician licensure examination. In 2016, UPVTC’s first batch of examinees posted a 95.83% passing rate, with two passers landing in third place; on the other hand, the College garnered a 100% passing rate with seven topnotchers in 2017.
