UPVTC gets 100% passing rate, produces 7 topnotchers in 2017 psychometrician board exam

The University of the Philippines Visayas Tacloban College (UPVTC) soared to even greater heights this year as it garnered a 100% passing rate and produced seven topnotchers in the Psychometrician Licensure Examination. The examination was administered by the Board of Psychology of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) in various parts of the country on October 29-30, 2017.

The seven who were included in the top ten are the following: Victor L. Macasil, Jr. and Patricia Angela M. Pelito (6th place, with a rating of 83.40%); Rosemarie T. Sarte (8th place, 83.00%); Kimberly F. Leala and Mar Augustine Chloey B. Lee (9th place, 82.80%); and Eva Mae A. Adena and Melanie S. Patiño (10th place, 82.60%).

The other UPVTC graduates who are now licensed psychometricians are Cristina Marie Alissandra V. Redubla (Class 2012), Zoreen E. Agustin (Class 2013), and the following alumni from Class 2015: Andrea Mae Vivian A. Bru, Aimee A. Gabonada, Teresa Antonia M. Koykka, Hazel Joy C. Loste, Romel O. Reston, and Rojillete E. Semblante.

Successful passers from UPVTC’s Class 2016 are Mariel G. Bello, Megan Rae G. Calderon, Jaremel L. Catilogo, Christine M. Medrina, Louiella Shane G. Paderugao, Jenevieve S. Palma, and Jessa Mae B. Villero.

Completing the list are passers from Class 2017: Faith C. Belo, Renzi-Lee C. Cacas, Stephanie Glahn M. Cayaco, Danielle Francis E. Chan, Maria Benilda A. de Veyra, Ellen Joy D. Debuton, Dhenzel C. Hadap, Ma. Lea S. Lavado, Lorie Hazel R. Lugasan, Felmari Blaise B. Miranda, Justine Ynnes T. Oballo, Sam Mikka M. Palima, Janara Trixia A. Perez, Roger M. Sablad, Jr., Douna Mae M. Salazar, Faye Angeline D. Silvestrece, and Lawrence Michael P. Tinoc.

The examinees were tested on four subjects namely, Theories of Personality, Abnormal Psychology, Industrial Psychology, and Psychological Assessment. The PRC announced that 4,957 out of 8,701 (57%) passed the Psychometrician Licensure Examination this year.

Last year, UPVTC’s first batch of examinees posted a 95.83% passing rate, with two passers landing in third place. (With sources from the PRC website)
