UP Visayas at Linang 2.0: Trainers Certification Program

Seventeen (17) representatives from UP Visayas (UPV)—comprising faculty members, administrative personnel, and HRDO staff—are participating in the Linang 2.0: Trainers Certification Program, a key initiative in strengthening the University’s pool of certified trainers.

Inspired by the University of the Philippines’ motto, “Honor and Excellence in the Service of the Nation,” the LINANG: Mga Serye ng Pagsasanay para sa Pagpapaunlad ng Paglilingkod sa Pamantasan at Bayan is designed to strengthen a culture of service and excellence.

It seeks to cultivate dynamic workplace relationships, social responsibility, appropriate professional behavior, and quality performance by equipping employees with the essential knowledge, mindset, values, and skills for effective and responsive service delivery.

The participants come from various constituent units (CUs) of the UP System, bringing together diverse experiences and perspectives in support of a shared goal of enhancing facilitation practices and organizational development. The two-day program revisits the core principles of facilitation and adult learning, deepens participants’ understanding of the modules, and fosters the exchange of best practices among trainers.

The program covers the following components:

ROSES (Relationship Operations and Sensitivity Enhancement Seminar) – Enhancing communication and trust to reduce misunderstandings and improve efficiency

🌊 WAVES (Work Attitude and Value Enhancement Seminar) – Promoting shared values and unity toward organizational excellence

📄 CSW (Completed Staff Work) – Strengthening decision-making and management processes through a systematic approach

📅 Schedule of Training: April 23–24, 2026
📍 Venue: Institute for Small-Scale Industries, Diliman, Quezon City

Upon completion, these fifteen (15) certified trainers will spearhead the cascading and replication of the Linang Program in UP Visayas—advancing a more empowered, collaborative, and values-driven university workforce.
