UP Visayas welcomes 1,092 first year students

A total of 1,092 incoming first year students gained admission to UP Visayas for Academic Year 2012-2013* coming from the five degree granting units of the University. These are those who qualified to gain admission after passing the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT) last year. Meanwhile, the upper years registered an overall figure of 2,804, summing up UPV’s total enrollment at 3,896.**

 

The College of Arts and Sciences continues to have the highest number of student population. The table that follows provides detailed information on student enrollment.

 

 

UPV had an 11.5% increase in enrollment this year based on last year’s total enrolment of 3,494.*** 

 

The incoming first year students, transferees, and returning students were welcomed by UPV Visayas during the Opening Exercises on June 4, 2012 at the Auditorium of the Iloilo City campus. (With sources from CRSIS)
