Publication

The University of the Philippines Visayas has two scientific journals, the Philippine Journal of Natural Sciences (PJNS), and the Philippine Journal of Social Sciences Humanities (PJSSH). These two publications are published bi-annually. The OVCRE maintains an online journal for the two respective publications. UPV Journals

    The Philippine Journal of Natural Sciences publishes original articles, short communications, and review papers on problems and issues in broad fields of Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and in Fisheries Science. Original articles should not exceed 25 pages, double-spaced, including Tables and Figures. Short communications should not exceed 5 pages; these should include an abstract but may omit the usual major headings of full articles. Review papers will be solicited by the editor and members of the Editorial Board.

    The Philippine Journal of Social Sciences and Humanities (formerly DANYAG Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences) is a peer-reviewed journal which presents researches in the fields of Humanities, Social Sciences and Management. It incorporates some of the basic objectives and concerns of the old journal with the same name published by the University of the Philippines College of Arts and Sciences from 1976 to 1989, which focused on the sciences, the humanities, management and education.
OVCRE Library

The OVCRE maintains a library where research outputs of UPV faculty and researchers are displayed. We have a collection of around 2,000 materials consist of research reports, professorial chair outputs, reprints of published journal articles, scientific journals, magazines, etc. This collection can be viewed at the UPV Integrated Library (www.ilib.upv.edu.ph).

We adopt a room-use-only policy. The OVCRE Library is open daily during office hours (8:00 AM - 12:00 NN and 1:00 PM - 4:45 PM). For more information, you may contact Ms. Ma. Andrea Trivilegio (Library-in-Charge).

Guidelines on the use of the OVCRE library
  1. The OVCRE Library adopts a Room-Use-Only policy. Reproduction of library materials is not allowed unless library user has written permission from the author.
  2. Log in at the Library Users' Logbook upon entering the library and leave your ID with the OVCRE staff-in-charge.
  3. Bags must be left at the designated area or with the staff-in-charge.
  4. Library users are only allowed to bring a pen and notebook/paper for taking down notes inside the library.
  5. Library users may ask the staff-in-charge for assistance in using the library.
  6. The library is open only on weekdays during office hours (8:00 A.M. - 12:00 N.N. and 1:00 P.M. - 4:45 P.M.).
