Library Orientation and Tours
The University Librarian arranges with the Division of Humanities to allot one (1) Communication or English class of freshmen students every first semester of the school year for an orientation and tour of the University Library.
The orientation aims to introduce and familiarize students with the library facilities, services, and resources, and how to use them to their advantage.
Each orientation, which lasts at about thirty (30) minutes, is followed by a tour, where-in the librarian/staff-in-charge walks the group through the library building, pointing out the different services and providing information on how to find research materials in the library. A demonstration is also given to students on how to use the Open Public Access Catalog (OPAC) to find the materials they needed.
