Phil-Lidar 2, on the other hand, formally known as the Nationwide Detailed Resources Assessment, produced detailed resource maps for various applications: production of high value crops, irrigation assessment, aquaculture production, forest protection, and discovery of renewable energy sources.
Phil-LIDAR 1 and 2 are both DOST - directed researches. One of the objectives of this project is to utilize LiDAR data to complement on-going programs of various government agencies such as the Department of Agriculture, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, and the Department of Energy.
